Less than 1 month after the deadly May 22, 2017 concert bombing in Manchester, England, a crowd of 75,000-95,000 headbangers were asked to evacuate Rock am Ring, a massive 3 day rock and metal festival at the Nuerburg arena in western Germany.

Festival organisers took to facebook to voice that they hope to continue the festival tomorrow, much to the disappointment of thousands of disgruntled fans. The crowd was packed extremely tight as it struggled to evacuate from the arena.

In the moments leading up to the Rammstein set, festival organisers announced to tens of thousands of fans that due to a terror threat, they were being asked to evacuate the arena in a 'calm and controlled' way. 2017 marks the 30th anniversary of the legendary Rock am Ring music festival.
